Wellness has become slightly unhinged. I kept adding steps to my routine, checking my Whoop, and ending up more tired than when I started. The 10-step routine, the optimization stack, the protocol of the week. Somewhere in there, the body got lost.
Then I learned how my nervous system actually works, and realized it's much smarter than me. Most of the time, it knows exactly what to do. The way I was processing inputs kept getting in its way.
The bottom line: you don't need a 10-step routine (unless you're really into that, that's cool too). I want less, but better. The 20% that makes the 80% impact. With three kids, a business, an active lifestyle, and sleep to protect, that's what I have time for.
