This Cookie Policy explains how Mujo Co. (“Mujo”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on mujoworld.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Notice, which describes how we handle the personal information these technologies may collect.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to make the site work and to remember information about your visit. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags, and local storage; in this policy, we refer to all of them as “cookies.” Some cookies are set by us (“first-party”) and some by trusted partners whose tools we use (“third-party”). They can last only for your current visit (“session” cookies) or for a set period (“persistent” cookies).
2. Why we use them
We use cookies to keep the basics working (like your cart and a secure checkout), to remember your preferences, to understand how the site is used so we can improve it, and to measure and deliver relevant marketing. Some of these are essential to providing the site; others we use only as permitted by your choices and applicable law.
3. The kinds we use
Strictly necessary. Needed for the site to function — keeping items in your cart, maintaining your signed-in session in your account, processing a secure payment through our payment provider (Stripe), and protecting against fraud. The site can’t work properly without these, so they don’t require consent.
Preferences. Remember choices you make, such as items you’ve added or details you’ve entered, so you don’t have to repeat them.
Analytics. Help us understand which pages are used and where the experience can be improved, in aggregate.
Marketing. Used to measure and personalize advertising and email — for example, the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixel to measure ad performance, and Klaviyo to support email sign-up and tailored messaging. Our reviews provider (Loox) may also set cookies to display product reviews.
The specific cookies in each category, and how long they last, depend on the tools active at any given time; we keep the categories above current as our toolset changes.
4. Managing your cookies
You can control non-essential cookies in a few ways:
- through the “Cookie settings” control in our footer, where available;
- through your browser settings, which let you block or delete cookies — note that clearing cookies will sign you out and empty your cart;
- and, for advertising specifically, through the opt-out tools offered by the partners themselves (for example, your ad-preferences settings on Meta).
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. Where we are required to honor such signals, we will. Because there is no single industry standard for how these signals are interpreted, our specific handling of them is described in our Privacy Notice.
6. Changes and contact
We may update this Cookie Policy as our site and tools change; when we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above. Questions can be sent to Mujo Co., 433 W. Harrison St #5409, SMB #30446, Chicago IL 60699, or by e-mail at hello@mujoworld.com.
